The agreement between you and us for using the API and this site.
Use the API to build what you like, within the acceptable use policy. Paid plans renew until you cancel, and you can cancel any time from your account. We do not give refunds, which is why the free key is real data: test properly before you pay. We do not guarantee the data is perfect, and nothing here is betting advice.
This site and the API at footballsoccerapi.com are operated by New Tabs. In these terms “we” and “us” mean that operator, and “you” means the person or organisation using the service.
By creating an account or calling the API you accept these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to do so.
We provide an HTTP API serving historical and, on the Live plan, current football match data, together with exchange market prices recorded at kickoff and again at half-time.
We publish what each plan reaches on the pricing page, and what each endpoint returns in the documentation. Those pages are generated from the same registry that drives the API, so they describe what is actually served.
Accounts are created by signing in with Google. One account is for one person or one organisation. Your API key identifies you on every call.
Keep your key private. Anything done with your key counts as done by you, including calls that exceed your limits. If you think it has leaked, rotate it from your account; that takes effect immediately.
The free key needs no payment and does not expire. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance, and renew automatically until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, then drops back to the free key.
Prices are in US dollars. If we change a price, existing subscriptions keep their current price until the following renewal, and we tell you before that renewal happens.
A purchase may be credited to the partner who referred you, if you arrived through a partner’s link. This never changes the price you pay.
We do not offer refunds. The reasoning, the exceptions we do honour, and how to cancel are set out in the refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
You may use what the API gives you in your own work, apps and sites, including commercial ones, and show the results to your own users.
You may not resell, redistribute or republish the data itself, in bulk or through an API or feed of your own. You may not download it in bulk to rebuild the database, or use it to build a competing product.
The full rules are in the acceptable use policy, which forms part of these terms.
Every plan has a per-minute limit and a daily or monthly allowance, both printed on the pricing page and returned in the headers of every response.
Going over a limit returns a 429 with the time until reset. It never
results in an extra charge. Sustained attempts to work around limits (for
example by holding several free accounts) may lead to suspension.
Match results, market prices and the context fields are collected, derived and recorded by us. We work hard to keep them accurate, but we do not warrant that the data is complete, accurate or fit for any particular purpose, and you should not treat it as authoritative for settlement.
Market prices are records of what a betting exchange showed at a moment in time. They are historical facts, not predictions. Nothing on this site or in the API is betting advice or an inducement to gamble. Any decision you make with it is yours.
Where a figure on this site is derived rather than measured (a backtest, a calibration, a strike rate), we say so on the page it appears.
Within version 1 we only ever add fields. Removing or renaming one is a changelog event with a deprecation window announced before it happens, never on the day.
Ids we issue are stable: a match or club id you store today still resolves later.
We may add, change or withdraw endpoints, and may change what each plan reaches. If a change reduces what your plan reaches, we will tell you before it takes effect.
We publish uptime on the status page and aim to keep the service running continuously, but these plans do not carry a service level agreement or an uptime guarantee. Maintenance, upstream failures and the nightly rebuild can all interrupt service.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the acceptable use policy, that is used unlawfully, or that threatens the stability of the service. Where it is reasonable to do so we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.
You may close your account at any time by emailing us. We will delete your account data as described in the privacy policy.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. If you are on the free key, that amount is zero.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand.
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page always shows when they last changed, and material changes will be announced in the changelog before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
